Beach Bumming at Patar, Bolinao
Nothing will beat the clear blue ocean in curing our stress, even if you were there in a slightest bit of time. Saint Louis University just finished conducting its Mid term exam, and I needed a gateway to relieve my stress and smell the salty air of a crystal blue paradise. The closest white sand o̶r̶ ̶r̶a̶t̶h̶e̶r̶ ̶g̶o̶l̶d̶e̶n̶ ̶beach I could think of is at Patar, Bolinao.
After a 3-hour drive from our home, we finally reached the public beach of Patar.
My first thought upon reaching the beach front was, "It's so crowded!". There were too many seaweeds, and the people are noisy. I was disappointed at the crowd and the not-so-good smell, but I know the beach is beautiful; it's just that tourism has already stained this place.
I walked around the shore and I was saddened by what I saw. Here are some photos:
Hey, I know seaweeds are perfectly normal, but can't the local government put some efforts to remove it? Anyway, no hate here, but I'm hoping efforts would be done to clean up this paradise.
When I saw this beer can, I was infuriated! What an irresponsible tourist! I loathe people who has no discipline. There were many trash along this shoreline with abundant seaweeds, and it really hurts to witness a natural wonder get ruined by undisciplined individuals.
As I continued my trek, I came across a river. It was beautiful, but again, there were too many garbage. My brother was aghast when he saw what happened to the river. He said that it was really beautiful, that it was a nice place to relax, and you could actually swim in it. But now it became a garbage can for undisciplined tourists. I couldn't express my loathe enough in this post.
Some local kids are enjoying the garbage-infested water. They probably miss the former beauty of this river.
The sand in the riverbank is nice.
So continuing on my trek, I walked across the wooden bridge and found myself in souvenir shops.
After checking out the shops, I went back to our cottage.
When renting a cottage, it is important to know which ones are government-owned and private-owned. Cottages owned by the local baranggay costs P300, whereas those aren't ranges from P1000 to P1500 (like the cottages you see above).
Well, the kids love it there.
This is Rexter.
and that baby girl right there is AJ.
After a while, I got bored and wanted to dip in the water under the scorching sun.
Because this place was too crowded for my taste, I decided to scout for a more quiet part of the beach.
Look at this beautiful stretch of the shore.
After trekking further down the beach, I was rewarded with a tranquil place.
Rocky shore, but there were no people. It was love at first sight. All of my stress was lifted, and it felt like I was on my own pace, on my own time, in my own dimension. I love the quietness of the place. There were no sound other than the breakers reaching the rocks. It was enchanting.
Fun fact: Self-timers are my bestfriends. I have no decent photo from here on.
It felt like this place was mine! It was only me who was there, I absolutely loved it!
I had bad tan lines after this hahaha
There were sooo many shells in this area.
Well, that's the end of it haha.
I hope, when I come back, this place will be cleaner with more responsible tourists.
P.S. I still have bad tan lines,
